Blaine joined Horizon in early 2019 and services a variety of clients across Western Canada. His extensive background in energy and technology has translated into a clientele of oilfield contractors, service companies and tech companies in addition to general small and mid-sized businesses.

Blaine grew up on an acreage south of Stettler, Alberta and attended William E. Hay Composite High School. After completing a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Alberta he then went on to complete the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program in the fall of 2019 and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) program in the fall of 2021 to become a dual designated professional.

Blaine has held accounting and financial management roles with multiple businesses in the energy, mining & technology industries for several years before joining Horizon. He understands the daily struggles that businesses face in order to keep the wheels turning. He has a strong belief that well managed finances of a business are just as important as the goods and services they provide.

Blaine is experienced in cash management, profitability, business valuations and large scale business operations. He also understands budgeting and forecasting are an essential component to ensuring businesses can navigate the ever-changing economy. Blaine has a strong interest in technology and its specific ability to generate opportunities for businesses.

Blaine lives in South Edmonton and enjoys hockey, travelling and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He also has a passion for entrepreneurship and helping businesses grow and evolve.
